Feedback

After finishing our music video the other groups in our class watched it and gave us feedback...

Performance & lip-syncing
  • Performance has something to be desired, not very varied and the whole room shot isnt great- too many overlaps.
  • good overall lip-sync and performance, not to keen on the close up of mouth
  • performance and lip sync REALLY REALLY GOOD- we liked the close up on the mouth
  • Lip-syncing was really good, performance worked really well, liked that there was only one person in the band.
  • Fine

Relationships between music and Visuals

  • I don't see many- same faces. Performance quite impressive & convincing but perhaps the wrong shots used at the wrong time occassionally
  • Sort of vaguely related to song, but not very obvious.
  • Shots cut in time very well. 'Friends are False'- fake doll, very clever.
  • Clear to see the fake doll related to theory, also theres only one performer.
  • Friends are false, good relation, thats all.

Camera Work

  • Varied shots occassionally but in general not enough. Performance a little dull.
  • Good, few odd shots- close ups on people not as good as instrument ones.
  • Love the band split screen
  • Lot of different shots, repetitive, some quite long
  • Good outside of bedroom

Editing

  • Acceptable but needs better timing. Shots go on to long.
  • Too many repeated shots- fades dont really suit the song. The white shot is to long.
  • Yeah.
  • Some shots are too long.
  • Should have been tighter in the bedroom

Special Effects

  • Video overlap perhaps not needed, to much movement for it
  • Good except the cutting off the bass, however great idea.
  • Yeah
  • Only black and white shot
  • Erm.. bizzle

Mise-en-scene

  • Confusing, no real story or anything, its a bit random. Too little narrative, some shots repeated?
  • Good costumes. Some random locations? Props good- doll is awesome
  • Mmm
  • Doll worked well
  • Love the 'I love boobs' guitar
